Dr. William (Bill) Higgins

Senior Pastor

Dr. Bill Higgins is the Senior Pastor at Manassas Baptist Church.  After graduating from the University of Richmond, he completed his Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministries degrees at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Missouri.

Dr. Higgins has served as pastor of Oak Dale Baptist Church and as associate pastor at Columbia Baptist Church in Virginia.  Prior to coming to Manassas Baptist Church, he served as Senior Minister at Byne Memorial Baptist Church in Albany, Georgia.

He has worked to encourage Christian work in many areas of ministry.  Dr. Higgins has been active in local Baptist association and in state Baptist work both in Virginia and Georgia.  He has supported hands-on missions work in Brazil, Mexico, Budapest, Russia, Africa, and Belize.  He has been personally involved in disaster relief work and in building churches overseas. His local involvement includes working with Habitat for Humanity, SERVE Inc., Good News Jail Ministry, and the local ministerial association.

Dr. Higgins is an avid supporter of children's ministies and is involved personally in the church's many recreational ministries.  His greatest love is preaching and since coming to Manassas Baptist Church in 1991 the church has moved from one Sunday morning worship service to three.
